    Mr. Blanco is a seasoned computer professional, with over 25 years of experience in all facets of the computer industry in the US, Canada, Latin America and EMEA. His experience spans the spectrum of end-user, solution provider, manufacturer, and distribution and covers such diverse specialties as telecommunications, sales, and marketing.

    Applying his knowledge of and background in telecommunications and the Latin American marketplace, Mr. Blanco began his sales management career with Digital Communications Associates (DCA), later joining Micro Tempus as Director of International Sales. Prior to working at DCA, Mr. Blanco held various technical and managerial positions at Eastern Airlines, Citicorp and Florida Power & Light.

    In 1996, Mr. Blanco became Director of Marketing for Ingram Micro. In this capacity, Mr. Blanco was responsible for Ingram Micro’s marketing initiatives into Latin America. After Ingram Micro, Mr. Blanco joined Comverse Infosys, Inc., which later became a publicly traded company by the name of Verint, as Regional Director for Latin America.

    In January of 2000, Mr. Blanco, along with a group of private investors, started a channel sales and marketing agency by the name of Next Level. Initially focused on delivering such services to IT manufacturers in Latin America, the company quickly expanded into the US, Canada and EMEA and eventually employed over 125 associates with offices in Miami, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. Clients included, among others: Intel, Seagate, Avaya, Cisco, HP, Motorola, Microsoft, SAP, IBM and Symantec.

    As a recognized leader in the provision of channel sales, marketing and analytics services to the technology industry, Next Level was subsequently acquired by Everything Channel in May of 2008. Post acquisition and until December 2010, Mr. Blanco served as Managing Director of the Field Sales and Marketing division (the rebranded Next Level business). He also was responsible for EC’s expansion into EMEA.

    As the managing director of Pigs on the Roof, Mr. Blanco is now focusing his efforts in the provision of channel marketing services (channel strategies, field marketing, routes to market) in Latin America, with a view to expansion into North America. Besides his work at Pigs on the Roof, Mr. Blanco is an active investor in services-oriented start-ups.

    Mr. Blanco is a graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Mr. Blanco is a frequent speaker at industry and manufacturer channel partner events, such as the SAP, Avaya and General Dynamics and the Baptie Channel and Marketing Focus and XChange events. In addition, Mr. Blanco serves as a consultant for CompTIA IT, where he teaches the Channel Management Executive Certificate training. Mr. Blanco is also a supporter of and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement and Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE).
